Fee

A breakdown of current Mount Exchange fees incurred for each function.

Trading Fee Tier

Mount Exchange sets varying trading fee rates for traders (takers) and liquidity providers (makers) based on market conditions, particularly volatility. These fees are applied across different markets and trading activities, divided into four tiers: Open Maker, Close Maker, Open Taker, and Close Taker.

The trading fee is calculated as:

Trading Fee = Position Size × Price × Fee Rate (fₜ)

Opening Position as Market Maker (Open Maker):

  • BTCUSD: 0.05%

  • SOLUSD: 0.05%

Closing Position as Taker (Close Taker):

  • BTCUSD: 0.02%

  • SOLUSD: 0.02%

Closing Position as Market Maker (Close Maker):

  • BTCUSD: 0.05%

  • SOLUSD: 0.05%

Opening Position as Taker (Open Taker):

  • BTCUSD: 0.02%

  • SOLUSD: 0.02%

Note that :

  1. You will be directed to third-party platforms for bridging, swapping, and buying. Mount will not charge extra fees.

  2. There are no fees charged by Mount Exchange for Minting or Burning. Only a small amount of gas fee is paid outside of the platform to miners for validating your transactions on L1s blockchains.

Service Fee Tier

Although adding liquidity does not incur any additional fees, to ensure healthy market dynamics and support the sustainable growth of our platform, liquidity providers (LPs) will be charged a service fee when removing liquidity. Mount Exchange applies different Advanced Service Fee Rates (rA) and Base Service Fee Rates (rB) based on the profits and position size across various markets and trading activities. During the initial phases of the Mainnet launch, we will also provide discounts on these fees.

Adding Liquidity: No fee taken.

Removing Liquidity:

The service fee for removing liquidity is calculated as follows:

Service Fee = Removal × rB + max(Profit, 0) × rA

Where:

  • For BTCUSD: (rB, rA) = (0.01%, 10%)

  • For SOLUSD: (rB, rA) = (0.01%, 10%)

For example: If a market maker withdraws $10,000 in liquidity, with the initial balance also being $10,000 and no returns, the service fee charged would be $1, resulting in an overall fee rate as low as 1 basis point (bps).

Mount Exchange streamlines fees for liquidity providers (LPs) by only charging a Service Fee and a Trading Fee, with the Trading Fee being fully returned to the Pool. This approach substantially reduces costs for LPs.
